You can't just copy the files. You have to use a ripper like DVD Decrypter. What ripper did you use and what is the title and region of the DVD?

Clearly Mac... I would have saved a few pennies and went with A Dell lol:rolleyes:
Well off the top of my head I don't think there are many Mac distros of good decryptors... You might use a search engine Like Google...:search:
If you really want it on your Mac...
If I were you I would DDl a copy of DVDfab from http://www.dvdfab.com/free.htm install it on a friends PC (Microsoft running) computer, and rip the dvd of choice to a portable hard drive and then from there plug the portable in to your Mac and copy the files over...
CSS is on every DVD... And newer DVD's have up to date copy protection techniques that are a lot more complex then a simple encryption algorithm And if you are doing this in America it is as illegal as selling your first born for Money...

You might want to RE-read what you've quoted - The poster has a "Mac-Intel"...
Also, there are several good rippers available for the Mac-side of the poster's machine as well.

You can't just copy the files. You have to use a ripper like DVD Decrypter.
I have done it with a ton of my other DVD's and it's worked flawlessly.
What ripper did you use
I didn't use any ripper, i never have. i insert the disk and it automatically begins to play in some mac dvd player that i never use(the whole point of me ripping the disk is so i dont have to sit at my computer to watch it), so i turn it off. after that i go to my desktop, double click on the dvd's icon and it exposes the video ts folder. i copy that to my desktop and it takes about 10-30mins, depending on what applications i am currently using and how much stuff im dowloading from the internet at the same time.
the title and region of the DVD?
i was ripping the gundam wing boxset and the endless waltz movie. Both are american releases, so i'm guessing they would be region 1. Like i said, i have done this numerous times before. this is the first time i had this issue.

@Hikaru_mashaI didn't use any ripper, i never have. What you've stated is implausible. Perhaps the "mac dvd player" that you "never use" is actually a ripping program. What is its name?
Have you previously been/Are you now copying original, commercial DVDs or "something else"?

Commercial Dvds. and the programs name is "DVD Player" litterally. it doesnt even say mac on it. i'm not illiterate when it comes to tech stuff or comuters. i have an occasional problem(like this one) but im usually really good at maintaining my computer and i use it well. im not just some nimrod who decided to buy a mac to upload some pictures on facebook, play solitare, and surf the net, i needed it for school and work. i am very capable of using programs on it, i am very familiar with the opperating system and the software. i know what a decryption program is and i know i didnt use one. when i say that i just drag it to my desktop, i LITTERALLY mean that i just drag it to my desktop.i dont know if any of you use macs or have ever used one, but that's all i do. nothing special to it.if anyone has a mac, try it. or are you all pc users?

@Hikaru_masha
Please cut the attitude; setarip_old was just trying to help you.
As well read carefully what has been written here (especially post 2). Almost all DVDs have at least CSS encryption on them. Just copying the folder to your desktop will not remove this or advanced protections. The exception to this is if you have a low class decryption filter driver such as AnyDVD installed when you copy and paste.
Do also remember that most software players have been licensed to remove decryption and play your DVD.

Checked it out... cool didnt know that...
Then again I never used the decrypter funtion...
None the less if it cant support any type of new protection scheme's then I doubt it will have any lasting impact on ripping source material For encoding... Good to know though...
