Hallo, i've been using DVDx for ages without the slightest problem.
The thing is, i need more then just ripping, i need a way to include 2 sound tracks in one avi file, i know this is possible, because i've got a DVDrip allready where i can chose between Danish and English if im using the right player, (Using VCL atm).
I somtimes enjoy watching cartoons and whatever, on both my own language and the orginal, thats why i would like to know how to include an aditional language/sound track, so if anyone knows a good ripping guide covering more then just the basics, that would be nice.

Try MeGUI, staxrip, or one of the other newer GUIs. They allow you to choose more than one audio track.

I dident realize Stax was used in dvd ripping, i've only used it to rip the sound from the annoying mpeg2 from my Sony HandyCam.
Anyway, now i got "somthing" happening atleast, im trying to Rip a random DVD using Stax, but im getting some sort of Stream error, sync found after x bytes.
Dont know if its suposed to be happening, maybe i selected the wrong vob files, (just the largest ones), execpt the extra material.
Edit: Ok it just began saving the AVI file, (and at amazing speed to), i'll get back when its done.
2th Edit:
Im getting "Stream error: sync found after x bytes" This curses the sound in the movie to sound like a satanic ritual, and thats just while im trying to figure out why the picture is buggy aswell, i hope its for the same reason the sound is out of sync.
Other then the above, i got the 2 track thing working, now i just need to "get it right"..
Im using the followering settings
Sound: MP3 CBR 128 Kbps
Filters:
[X]Source MPEG-2
[X]Crop Crop Borders
[]Field Deinterlance
[X]Resize Neutral
Phew, i better find a shorter movie to play around with.
Final Edit
Hey guess what, i just figured it out. The "Digital Versatile Disc" i was trying to rip was a DVD i copied to my harddisk months ago, so i forgot it wasent decrypted. That was the reason why i was getting all these errors, after i Decrypeted it using DVD Decrypter it worked, even the picture was perfect.
And the best part, its not even harder then using DVDx. I would even say its easier, because Stax knows where to download all the stuff you need. Thanks for the tip about Stax :thanks:
