i have Philips DVP5982/37 handles divx ultra / avi / xvid so is it possible because i have a mkv thats converted to avi in 1280 x 544 res in avi is it possible i could play that in xvid / divx in avi on my divx ultra player it already upconverts to hd but i want it in hd already im not sure it might only handle hometheatre profile well its not
a divx hd dvd players it regular divx ultra so is it possible could some one help !

Where did you get this MKV? Why don't you just re-encode from the original source?

The current range of Philips hardware players are capable of supporting (compatible) input sources that have been encoded up-to a maximum of 414,720 pixels.

So you'll need to go back to re-encoding from your source!
