keep losing sound in the middle of cd 2

Ok I made another rip of the same movie and I still lost the sound. The movie plays fine and teh sound is in synx. But at a certain point in cd 2 the sound all of a sudden is gone. This has never happened to me before and I am not sure what is the problem. Anyone have any ideas.

I did the rip with 1 pass, aduio 224.

I am using a P4 1.5gig, 396 rdram, with windows 2000 pro.
