Recently I installed PowerDVD 7 and I really like the surround sound. I use Windows Media player 6.4 (not classic) to play my movies and ffdshow to decode the video.
If I disable the ffdshow AC3 audio, when I play a movie (with AC3 audio) from Media player 6.4, it will use the PowerDVD7 audio. When the movie is playing from media player 6.4, File, Properties, Advanced, Cyberlink Audio Decoded (PDVD7) will show up and I can change the settings as required.
Question: If I disable mp3 from ffdshow, media player 6.4 will default to MPEG Layer-3 Decoder. How do I force it to default to the PowerDVD7 audio, or get ffdshow to direct it to PowerDVD7 audio?
Is there some registry setting that must be made to do this?
