Problem with capture in VirtualDub

Hi folk!
I have problem with VirtualDub 1.6.19 when I try go Capture AVI. This problem appear after i change cature device to Windows WDM. First time this take place with VirtualDub 1.6.17 and I try upgrade to 1.6.19 but without result. When I go to Capture AVI VirtualDub not respond and I can close only in windows Task Manager. Capture card Aver 507, OS Windows XP. Please advice.

1.7 branch has quite a few capture improvements, try the latest at least as a test. It might be the card driver locking something up, though, you could try uninstalling and reinstalling it.

I've got Aver 503 Studio, which should be essentially the same card (Philips MK3 or MK5 tuner, SAA7135xx decoder, analog audio out). I'm using it exclusively for live recording (HuffYUV) in VDub (different versions).

To make this card work seamlessy I had to remove all Avermedia drivers and other stuff and install Philips reference WDM drivers, combining inf files for tuner-decoder combo. No remote, no FM, no scheduled recording - although I hope that these things can be done, I've not tried.

If you're interested in these drivers, then needed inf files are located here (http://www.stv.ee/~donq/aver503.zip). You can find Philips reference WDM drivers (http://auzol.narod.ru/download.html) on the net, but my inf files combination is unique :)

NB! XP does cry about unsigned drivers - ignore it and continue installation.

I can not solve problem reinstalling driver for Aver 507, which I download from web site www.aver.ru, last version. VirtualDub 1.6.17 after transfer to capture mode at bottom line write:
Connecting to Capture device: Microsoft WDM Image Capture (Win32) (VFW) not respond and Windows XP could rebooted from Start button.
VirtualDub 1.7.5 only write not respond after I try choose menu by mouse pointer and can be close from task manager. How in registry I can choose capture device for VirtualDub. After I choose Microsoft WDM Image Capture I can not use VirtualDub. Please advise.

Did you try old'n'good reference drivers? Just to assure that your capture card and MS components are working properly.

Problem solved by uninstall drivers, remove capture card from PC, reboot, power off, insert capture card bact to PC, power on and install drivers. Now I can not capture in VirtualDub after press F5. VirtualDub write can not begin capture process. On next week I try reinstal Windows XP.

Today I reinstall Windows XP but with same result, irtualDub not work properly. Dong advise type capture cards driver which I need choose, my card based on 7135. May be Asus TV FM 7135 or need use You recomended drivers (only inf files) http://www.stv.ee/~donq/aver503.zip with referenced dll http://auzol.narod.ru/download.html. Please advice.
