Hi,

I know it' super basic, but I've never done it before - and I didn't find anything by searching for "vob".

I have a problem with a certain dvd I have, I want to show you guys the problematic place, to do taht I need to extract the .vob - a part of it...

what tool would I use to extract a certain part of a vob file?

Thanks.

dgmpgdec (http://neuron2.net/dgmpgdec/dgmpgdec148.zip)

Download and unzip dgmpgdec
Open DGIndex
Open your vob(s).
Use the brackets to choose the part you want to save, the blue on the bar is what you'll save.
When you save, it's called "Save Project and Demux Video".

Check out the picture.

When you rip your dvd, leave out the audio if your just going to upload a clip here.

Thanks a lot man.

Naturally I have dgmpgdec - use it all the time, just never used it like that... ;).

If you guys have other ways, put them here... Otherwise I think it can be locked or something ;).

Edit:

The extracted video is m2v, which is ok I suppose - BUT - won't the choice of "pull down(ignore/honor/force film)" affect the output? Or is that sort of info only saved on the d2v file? *wonders*

Leave everything else default.

Cool - thanks Neuron - I though that's how it'll work - but being noobish and all I prefer verification by people who actually know what they're doing ;).
