Hope this is the right place, thanks in advance for the expertise.

I've recently {redacted} they are .mkv, x264, AC3 5.1. Codecs are: CoreAVC and AC3Filter (SPDIF direct to receiver).

I've only tried several: {redacted}, {redacted}, {redacted}, and a {redacted}.

{redacted} and the docu. worked fine (as do all the {redacted}), but {redacted} and {redacted} suffered from terrible audio dropouts, where the AC3 stream would stutter, causing my receiver to hiccup. Downmixing with AC3Filter to Dolby Surround works, but hey what's the point of having a nice 5.1 home theater if you don't use it?

Does anyone know what this may be from? A guy on the AVSForum said he had the same problem and used ffdshow to somehow transcode the original AC3 on the fly and that took care of it.

Hi!I've recently "got into" a few HD "backups,"300 and Blades of Glory suffered from terrible audio dropouts1) What software and procedures did you use to create these "HD backups"?

2) Do your original HD-DVDs exhibit the same behavior when played on the same system?

Guess I didn't read the terms of use.

"6) No warez, cracks, serials or illegally obtained copyrighted content! Links to content of a questionable nature, asking for, offering, or asking for help/helping to process such content in any way or form is not tolerated."

Guess I'll have to find help elsewhere.
