Hi
Could someone please tell me how I can make a small clip using DVD2SVCD for test purposes.

Select one single chapter in the conversion tab, open the pulldownmenu near the lenghts of the movie to do it.

Thanks for your reply I used the dropdown list and selected 00:01:06 and set DVD2SVCD going
but is seems to be doing the whole movie, becouse it is taking a long time surly a clip should only take a few minuets, help on this please

It will still take some time to work. If you have left the settings at default even the fastest CPU will take time.
Consider that the default CCE setting is 5 pass VBR. So your one minute file will take about 12:00 minutes with a fast CPU. Add the audio conversion and that will take another few minutes.
If you have a 1gz CPU and it takes longer then about 1/2 hour then you probably did something wrong.

You need to select internal routines for ripping. Then select the ifo file as normal. Click on the drop down movie length this will bring up a new screen that you can select or deselect chapters. Unselect everything you don't want and press Go. It will rip the the DVD and encode.
