mkv + x264 in Avisynth, how ?

Sry if the post is not in the correct subforum, but i think this question is about avisnth usage...

i have a mkv wich contains a x264 video stream plus ac3 sound stream.

How can i extract them and load them in avisynth / virtualdub ??

What's in the MKV and how did you encode it?

i didn't encode that film, i only want to converti it in playable format read by SA players.

So mkv(x264,ac3) -> avi(xvid,mp3)
i would like to use avisynth cause in the converision the quality should decrease very much and i would try some filters to optimize that.
