View Full Version : A bug when you click "Abort"

I think I found a litte bug when I click "Abort" in version 1.26.3.
It happens with HC or CCE (the ones that I have tested) and it simply doesn´t kill the encoder. HC asks you if you want to quit it (and waits that you click yes or not) and CCE remains in the task manager.
Greetings :).

HC always did that, if you don't respond it will kill anyway.
I don't seem to have that problem... it works correctly on my system. Nothing related to that code has changed (at least not intentionally).

Correction.
I see what you mean. Although the visible window disappears, the job stays in the task manager until the encode for that segment is complete. I don't think it's a big deal, but I'll check it out and fix it for the next release. Not sure how that could have happened.

I can confirm that CCE does the same thing with 1.26.3.

Yep. I found it and fixed it for the next release. It was a change I made that wasn't supposed to have that effect. I like to think of it as an "unintended feature."

And HC does something similar in my PC. It waits that I click "yes or no", instead of DVD-RB kill it totally.

I like the notion of "unintended features"

Yes. We should use it instead "bug" :D. This one, for instance, is looking for a major interaction by the user :D.

I do like your "unintended features" response. Another of my favs is from a mmorpg dev team - Everything is "working as intended." :-D
Cheers,
