hi,
the movie: visitor q
2 subtitles: german and english
during the extraction another application (cpuidle)suddenly pops up with multiple windows saying "der parameter stimmt nicht" (parameter is wrong).
I stopped all running apps and did it again, then the same message appears in the dvd2svcd log and dvd2svcd crashed. tried with both subtitles same error.
then I used the last 1.03 and the extraction worked fine !
regards,
mike
p.s.: how do I have to edit the .d2s file to make a recover ?

You only need to modify the .d2s if you want to do a recover with changed parameters. If you want to use the same settings just leave the file as it is.

I had exactly the same problem when I tried to convert City of Lost Children and tried to select the permanent subtitles option. SVCD subtitles worked fine but when I loaded up the permanent subtitles I got parameter is not correct error followed by a 'cannot draw to canvas' error (I'm paraphrasing that last error but it definitely had canvas and draw in it) Then I kept getting errors. When the final encoding happened at the end I was left with two odd movie files one of which said something to the effect of "Access error in XCGXC" subtitled across the top of the video which, incidentally, wasn't actually any of the movie. Now, as I said before, when I select svcd subtitles the whole process works beautifully but, as I watch DVDs from my TV out card, I really need permanent subtitles. Does anyone have a workaround I might use?

I may try an earlier version but, frankly, this is the only version that doesn't crash halfway through. But, with the whole crash resuming function maybe I should give it a try. Is there a workaround with the present version? Can I use a third party program to apply subtitles to my movie? HELP!
Thanks guys,

Macros746 email me and I maybe able to help you out, apparently some others are too scared to email and think this is a pirating ring when I own "Vistor Q" to begin with.
