I'm trying to convert Exotica R1 from non-anamorphic into anamorphic. I'm using DVD Rebuilder and I selected No Compression (since the original DVD size is only 3,88 GB) and in AVS Expert Options I selected Convert from LB 4:3 to 16:9. However, the resulting DVD is still non-anamorphic. What am I doing wrong?

You will have to re-encode it for the DVD to go from non-anamorphic DVD into anamorphic.

Select "Force Reencoding (for filters)" from the MODE menu and choose an encoder (other than "No Compression").

Damn, I had enable "Force Reencoding (for filters)" but I deleted it. Oh well :P

It worked. Thank you very much!

Select "Force Reencoding (for filters)" from the MODE menu and choose an encoder (other than "No Compression").I'll use this topic to ask this since it is related to the issue: does the "Force Reencoding" option use TargetSectors for sizing when the source DVD would fit on a DVD5 without any reencoding? I have several less-than-DVD5-size discs that are letterboxed 4:3. They would benefit from some extra processing (4:3->16:9,denoising, sharpening), but I'm not sure whether I should do the process manually or use DVD-RB to do the dirty work of rebuilding the structure. Since a sharpened video needs more bits, it's essential that the target size is adjusted to fill a DVD5 according to the TargetSectors setting.

Yes. The TargetSectors value is used.
