WinXP and Wma 9.1 [Archive]

Hi guys,

does anyone know how i can use the wma 9.1 codec on WindowsXP with SP2 installed?
I tried installing wmfdist, wmformat9.5 sdk, etc. but
still i can only choose wma 9.2.

Maybe it´s possible just to replace the codec dll´s??
Am i right that Wmadmod.dll, Wmadmoe.dll are the one´s?

There is no difference between WMA 9.1 and WMA 9.2 in terms of bitstream syntax. It's the same codec. The only difference might be in the encoder efficiency/performance.

WMA Pro, on the other hand, actually extended the bitstream syntax in WMA Pro 10 by adding data which is used to do spectral band replication in low bitrate modes (<=64k).
