I am tying to rip a DVD (Swordfish. I am useing the latest versions of all programs. I rib to hd with Smartripper. (I rip all files because I want to keep the entire movie intact) I then create the .cffl text file that contains a list of all of the vobs. I then run ReMpeg2 and open the .cffl text file and then change the options to match (scaling factor, 720x480, Frame mode match source, etc.) ReMpeg2 says that is will take approx. 11 hours to complete. After running for about 2.25 hours, it shows successful. When I look at the .m2v file it creates, it is only 680mb. What am I doing Wrong? Is there a better method? Thanks

Enable stream processing in smartripper and demux the video stream to a seperate file, then rempeg this file & see what happens.
(it worked for me)
I think you are only processing the first vob, but I may be mistaken.

Right it looks like only the first VOB has been processed. But it might be a problem with that movie too.
I guess Fruitbat's method should be perfect for this case.
