I get pink layers after cropping on the sides
I also noticed the same thing with some of my other video editors, sometimes when I crop a bit off the bottom or off the sides, I get pink lines after re-coding.
Is this a common thing and how can I avoid this ?

1) What application you talk about?
2) Do you crop to a mod16 (or at least a mod4) resolution?
3) Do you apply any filters after crop? Which?
I ask, because I encountered problems when applying certain filters (like deinterlace) after cropping to an "odd" resolution. Therefore I now apply all the other filters first, then crop. Only filter after Crop is Resize (if needed). A lot of filters don't work very well at the borders, so it's better to crop the borders afterwards anyway. The final video, after Crop+Resize (or Crop only), should be mod16 again...

I do not use a mod
3) Do you apply any filters after crop? Which?
No, but I might try the de-interlace method first and then crop.

Hi!I do not use a modSounds like you may not be understanding the concept of "modulo".
Make sure you crop to (both horizontal and vertical) dimensions that are exactly divisible by eight or 16...
