View Full Version : Besweet crashing on AC3->AAC

I'm trying to encode a 5.1 AC3 to Nero AAC via Belight so I can apply gain to output (was using MeGUI but the AAC's volume is much lower than the original).

I'm using BeLight 0.22 RC 1 and I think the Besweet 1.5b31 package I dl'ed from here. I threw NeroAacEnc.exe in the folder, along with aac.dll and aacenc32.dll from Nero 6. Without the last two files, though it didn't ask for them, I would get an error that bsn failed to configure. So now, whenever I try an encode, Besweet just crashes and leaves this log:

What should I try next?

Try with this bsn.dll (http://kurtnoise.free.fr/index.php?dir=BeLight/&file=bsn_20070513.zip)

Thanks a lot, buddy! That version did the trick. Though it still crashes when I try and use hybrid or post gain on an AAC. BeLight says to use Pregain (which works now), so is that just something that normally happens?

Yes, ac3 or aac only can use PreGain because can't be amplified after encode.
