I love MKV somuch, but this container is not the offical of MPEG-4:mad:. But i think MP4 container is not good 'cause it can not hadle AC3 5.1 . A lot of forums HD bittorent share together by MKV .Unfortunately rare player device supports him:eek:, please tell me what are good container's ? Thanks you so much

Neither is 'best', they are both equally capable of storing MPEG-4 AVC.

Dude ...
Forum Rule #12 : "Do not ask "what's best" because this question cannot be answered objectively. Each and everyone has their own view about what's best in a certain area. The best is what works best for you!"

And you actually answered your own question too : MKV supports AC3 audio but MP4 doesn't, but MKV isn't the standard container and doesn't have wide hardware support ... the choice is yours ... all depends on what you're trying to achieve ... standalone compatibility or maximum quality ? :)

MKV is the "best" if you need support for AC3, complex styled subtitles, or anything else that is not in MP4.

MP4 is the "best" if you need hardware support. Of course, the H.264 stream has to be compatible with the hardware too.

MP4 support AC3 and if you search form gdsmux on this forum (and on your pc... in Haali folder) you will be able to mux

mkv is supported too by some hadware players... look at the mainpage (for Tvix)...

AVI FTW! Only one with working splitter for DXVA!

AVI is limited with avc, so with that being said; MKV = KING.
