K, I've got a VOB file I ripped using DVD Decrpyter which I'd like to convert to AVI.
As suggested by a friend; I followed these directions:
1. Load the video
2. Bottom of the screen, there are two black half-arrow buttons at the rightmost side of the controls. These are used to mark beginning (left) and end (right). Set these at the beginning and end of the segment you want.
3. Got to FILE -> Save As. It will automatically save as an AVI.
The video opens in VDM, but when I click 'save as' nothing happens.
BTW, I selected XVid for compression.
