Since you talk about the "codec" then you probably mean on PCs.
NeroDigital incorporates 2 MPEG4 standards (ASP and AVC) while DivX only 1 (ASP).
NeroDigital prefers the MP4 container while DivX uses .DIVX and .AVI containers. Once you have the correct splitters for those containers the MPEG4-ASP can be decoded by both codecs.

adding to what shark said your player propably supports avi, so when remuxing your nerodigital asp video to avi and using the divx fourcc and not using potentially not supported features, like qpel and gmc, the nd files will play on the player

I try to conclude:
If the divx video data has been extracted from avi container, that video can be decoded by Nero Digital Codec and vice versa?
Am i right?

conclusion is NeroDigital can play back DivX in .avi container or raw stream but not in .divx container unless you have a .divx splitter installed.
DivX can play back NeroDigital ASP (not AVC) in .avi container or raw stream but not in .mp4 unless you have a .mp4 splitter installed.
Both DivX and NeroDigital ASP are MPEG4-ASP compliant, as Xvid or 3ivX... they're just different implementations but they're basically the same thing developed by different programmers.

A DivX container is just a modified AVI; it'll play fine in any player that supports AVI. IIRC its backwards compatible.
