Could someone please tell me how to extract AAC 5.1 audio properly from a .mkv file, i have googled it but with no luck. I have tried MKVextract but the extracted file sounds like its only extracted one channel.
EDIT.....
Not to worry got it sorted. MKVextract worked fine, it was winamp not playing the track correctly.

Try it with AviMuxgui 1.17.7
AVI-MuxGui can extract few Format which mkvextract cant demux properly (mp2g,eac3)
- Open you File in Avimux / select generate data from source Files
- Rightclick on you desired Stream and select extract Binary

You need MKVExtract and MKVEXtractGUI ;). After extracting you should get RAW AAC file (*.aac), this file you can mux in MP4 via Yamb, but if is AAC, HE-AAC you must signal it as SBR before muxing to MP4, signaling you can do with Yamb
