Unlocking DivX movies

Is there anyway to unlocked locked DivX movies?

What are these locked movies and where are you getting them? I'm trying to establish whether we are talking abour rule 6 material.

If you are talking about the original Circuit City DiVX movies, there is no known way to unlock them. They are shiny coasters at this point (or collectors items).

well basically, my friends gone abroad for a year and let me have his computer,(it an amazing gaming rig) and there are a shit load of DivX movies that have a little padlock on them, when i play them in videolan they play fine for like 3secs then go all fuzzy! i think it is most likly porn, but still i wondered if there was a way to unlock them? i hav'nt downloaded them for BT sites or anything like that.

i dont want to break anyrules tho... sorry if i am!

I think you better ask your friend about it. :)

Especially if you want him to remain as your friend.

lol, oh no he said it is cool, he thinks that they are movies he has downloaded ages ago but can remember how to get into,
dont worry if you dont want to tell me how to do it, but is it actually possible todo?
