I upgraded from Philips 642/37 to Panasonic DV-S53 because of media issues. I amend miniDV encodes with movie titles at the beginning of the video via Windows Movie Maker. Playback on the DV-S53 stutters, sometimes freezes at the amended title or if it gets past the title stuttering is evident in the remaining video. Aside from this issue I have no problems or complaints with the S53.
I'm curious as to the Oppo players listed performance with this issue and is the Oppo a much better choice? Currently my TV source is standard 4:3. Eventually I'm getting a more current LCD-HDTV. Thanks for your input
