View Full Version : Problems when working with YAMB

1) When I join multiple small mp4 clips into one there is the audio desynchronization in final clip. Especially in the end of the final clip.
I heard about this problem somewhere else ealier. Has this problem been solved? Or can I join mp4 clip somehow else?
2) I downloaded Yamb ver. 2.0. In the file splitting screen, in field "Split from... split to" I can't enter time in HH:MM:SS, though I could do it in Yamb 1.6.
Is it a bug or what?

Each clips must have the same properties to be able to join them correctly. Otherwise, you can have some problem as yours.
Keep in mind also that with some current MP4box builds (0.4.5-dev or 0.4.4), video streams are not joined properly anymore. I've already reported the bug to the developpers...

try to specify with the hh:mm:ss.ccc timestamp. If this doesn't work, that's a bug indeed.

could it be that the sound in the secondlast file is longer or shorter than the video stream? could be that mp4box simply appends the audio of the last video file to the audio of the second last

appending is track dependant. So, MP4Box detects the streams type and append them according to the type.

I'm trying to join clips with identical video and audio.
I think that when joining there are 2 possible cases:
1. if audio a few ms longer then video, then these ms should be cutted off.
2. if audio a few ms shorter then video, then these ms should be added (filled with silence).
If mp4box works that way, there will be no desynchronization, IMHO.

Bear in mind that you can use MP4Box w/o any video streams.
