Hi all
I had a philips dvp 5960 for about three days (it just stopped working) and swapped it for this player. It is outshining the phillips in most areas.
LG HT302 SD , just wondering if anyone knows the chipset for this model,or a site where there are some specs.
I read in the Chip-Set Information Links they were using the Zoran Vaddis a while back, not sure if they still are.

Regards

After doing a bit of digging, it would appear that the LG HT302 SD uses a ESS ES8380FCC chip. Not Zoran.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi and thanks for the digging kosmonaut.

I did a bit of digging but came up empty handed.

This thing has USB plus which looks to be high speed 2.0
So far so good, didn’t recognize ogg but I don’t use it anyway

I just ran a couple of short divx encodes at 3000kbps
and 4000 kbps from the USB, 2 gig pen drive, without jumping. I’ll have to try to find that link for the test encodes to put this thing through its paces with some tricky xvid encodes.

I’m downloading maxblast now to format external 200g into 2 or 4 fat 32 partitions , like most it does´nt do NTFS.

Hey kosmonaut
Any chance you can post that link as I´ve been searching for days
All I found was the ess. specs on the 8380/8381 ( official ess website)
but this is mainly focused on the 8381.

Ps maxblast formatted 200 gig external into 1 fat 32 partition of 189 gig.
The LG picked it up fast, access and playback is perfect.
