You're the Author of a good DVD decrypt proggie so i guess that something is wrong with what i say.
OK let's start over... If you look at Doom9's guide for Gordian Knot, he says, press F5 in DVD2AVI so you can see what Video type is the DVD. i.e. when it is NTSC or FILM use Forced FILM option, if PAL, leave it as it is.
So what i'm asking is, if Smartripper reports a FILM Video type DVD. I'm not quite sure what that means though...
Any better?

You just said the DVD2AVI does the NTSC/FILM/PAL reporting, so what does it matter what SmartRipper says?
Either way, I'm sure that if the film type is FILM, that is what SmartRipper will say.
As far as I know, FILM is lower res and lower framerate than the other two which means it is higher bitrate in order for it to be the same size (on the disc) as PAL or NTSC would be.
Is that what you mean?

Just need to know if Smartripper will report FILM as the film type so that you won't have to check it l8r with DVD2AVI.
