Stage6 Quality???

Why is it most of the videos on Stage6 look great!! Although when I encode most of my files it doesnt even compare. I even use a pretty high bitrate to do it. Any ideas??

This is probably because they used pretty high bit rate themselves. From what I seen even 3000 kbit/s is not that rare there (though evil overkill for streaming).
