Use DVD2AVI. Open the aviseq.mpg in the program, create a d2 file. Use vpapi or aisynth to bring the stream into your mpeg1 encoder of choice.

For the audio, it depends what the original source was and what your standalone supports. i'll assume your standalone needs a perfectly compliant vcd and the audio is a 224 44hz mpeg layer 2 file.

DVD2avi will get the .mpa file for you. Now you need to convert it to a .wav. If you don't know how to do this, tell me and i will explain a way.

If you use tmpeg to do the video encoding it is now a simple matter of selecting the wave as an audio source. If you use CCE then it is adviseabel to mux the audio in later. You can use toolame to encode the wav to an .mp2 file.

If you have an svcd with 48khz audio and many are like this, then you will have to resample the audio to 44khz as well. this can be done in tooLame or tmpeg (which can be configured to use the tooLame encoder).
