Jdobbs, (and Hank315 too for HcEnc!)

First. a quick note to say THANK YOU!

I have been REALLY ENJOYING your program. I thought I was a year away from a Wide Screen TV, but I found a great deal at Frys, and I am amazed at the quality of my backups! SO GLAD I am not using a "20 minute" Transcoder program to make my backups!

Now the issue:

(DVD-RB-Pro 1.26.2)
(ImgBurn 2.3.2)

Whenever I process a dvd folder in DVD-RB-Pro, at the end of the process, if I have a Blank DVD in my drive, DVD-RB-Pro fires off ImgBurn, and I get my DVD Burned automaticly.

However, WITHOUT changing any settings, DVD-RB-Pro does not start up ImgBurn when in a "BATCH" mode.

This pattern seems to happen through upgrades of BOTH programs.

I have tried:

-Re-Installing both programs
-Putting a blank DVD in BOTH DVD burners before starting the DVD-RB-Pro process.
-Confirming that the ImgBurn settings are set correctly.
-Confirming that DVD-RB-Pro has checked off "Burn ISO image"

Again, it works flawlessly when processing one DVD file, but does not work in the BATCH mode.

I always create the "Project" files just prior to a batch process, in case you were wondering.

Oh, and I check (and re-check) to make sure that the proper checkmark is checked in ISO options.

One more thing, it DID work in the past, but at some point it stopped working.

Just FYI, if I were in BATCH mode during the day, every few hours I would check to see if an Image had burned, and if so, put in a blank disk to catch the next "burn cycle".

Any Ideas?

Hmm... I do most of my jobs in batch mode -- and it always works for me. Of course it will only work on the first job of the batch, because the disc is no longer writable...

I'll do some testing tonight.

I can't repeat this. I just did two jobs, and they both burned correctly. Any special circumstances involved?

Another thing that really confuses me, is that this DOES work on my PC at work too?

And usually, whatever tweaking I do to my pc at home, I usually do at work.

No big deal, I thought there might be a registry setting to check or something.

I might check to do ONE backup in BATCH mode and see if it burns.

Wonderful program, thrilled to death with the quality, MANY MANY thanks!

Just FYI, here is my current "routein" to back up a DVD:

1. Load AnyDVD
2. Load DVD
3. Rip DVD to disk using SlySoft DVDClone2 (and remove any video that I do not want)
4. Run MenuShrink
(Used to run FixVTS at this point but stopped)
5. Run DVD-RB-Pro
6. Use ImgBurn to burn ISO

THANKS again! I cant express how happy I am with your program. I see all these other DVD backup programs, and I think to myself, I have THE BEST setup ever! It is nice knowing that you are using "THE BEST!"

Thanks. In my mind quality is what it's all about for DVD.

Correction -- I didn't look closely enough and have spoken too soon -- the images I did in batch mode weren't written to disc. Standy-by -- I'm investigating, it appears from the code that I am skipping over the write when batch mode is selected. Now I'm trying to remember why I did that...

[Note: I looked back and it has always been this way -- obviously I normally only create the ISO during batch rather than write the disc, so I guess I was incorrect in my first response. The question now is: Why did I disable write during batch... it's been a long time since I wrote that code.]

Interesting!

Well, you do what you think is best for the overall program.

BUT, it was nice to be able to catch some of the burns in batch mode.

I tested this out in the new version (1.26.3) and in batch mode it still skipps over the ISO write.

In non batch mode, it writes with ImgBurn just fine.

DVD ReBuilder v1.26.5
CHANGES MADE TO PRO VERSION

- Updated "Batch Mode" so that it will, when appropriate,
write to blank disc. Note that you must (obviously)
change discs between writes in order to write more than
one during the batch process.
============================

THANK YOU! Checking it out tonight!

Works great, thank you!
