I need to MUX a DTS-HD MA track into mkv container:

I've read it somewhere, that DTS-HD cannot be decoded to wavs yet nor muxed for further usage.
But perhaps thing have changed since then :) ??

What i want to do:
I encoded Reservoir dogs in x264 and even on high bitrate at 1080p the video stays at 6GB leaving enough space for the DTS-HD track, so i thought I could mux it to mkv. Is there any possibility to do it?

No ,you cant decode full lossless DTS HDMaster.
Only the "encoded DTS core"
Every DTS HD Tracks has standard DTS core encoded/included to keep Player Compatibility

Just demux the dtcore with dtscore.exe and mux it with mkvmerge.
Most dtscores are 1.5Mbps 5.1 5.1

I think it takes a long Time until DTS HD MAster Playback is possible...you can only play it via HDMI

I know that. The core is really 1536kbps. But I have around 1.5 gigs left on the DL media, so why not to use it? For now, only the core from the DTS track will be played (over SPDIF in my case, if possible), and the whole track will be kept for future use, when I have 7.1 HDMI v1.3 receiver...

So, is it possible to mux the whole DTS-HD track and (hopefully) playback it whole later (now, only core)?
thx

No not possible to mux into mkv
Even when youve a HDMI Receiver..theres no Decoder (currently)which can decode dtshd..they all( Nero, cyberlink, windvd) decodes only the core
