Hey, I have tried making .ssa "toptitles" and then using either the TestSub filter or Subtitler filter for Virtual dub to burn them. I don't understand why my secondary color isn't showing. I've played with the Styles and nothing is working.

I just tried the subtitler filter and it doesn't work at all on my ssa scripts (which are v4), only on the included demo.
By TextSub, do you mean the VSfilter.dll? This one works fine for me in virtualdub though.
Do you get colour formatting in either MPC's internal filter or using the vobsub directshow filter? If not then there is a problem with your script.
Are you using an editor to create the script or doing by hand? Personally I like aegisub as an editor.

Yes, I am using VSfilter.dll.
What is MPC? I'm new to tech stuff.
I'm making/edittnig the subtitles in either Substaion Alpha or Subtitle Workshop.
I get the all the selected colors except the secondary.

MPC = Media Player Classic. It has subs built in so you don't have install VSfilter.
Yeah I see what you mean, the secondary colour doesn't do anything. I found a post from Gabest suggesting it conflicted with karoake so was omitted.
Why do you need it anyway, you can modify the style on a per line basis, so why not just do that?

I'm using Virtualdub and making romaji top subs for an anime ending theme, so Media Player Classic wouldn't help me.
The secondary color used to show up sometimes when using the subtitler filter...but the font was sooo tiny. Now all of a sudden it's actually bigger but doesn't display the secondary color. I just think it looks nice when the lyrics sweep with the voice. The per line style change only work within the subtitle editor and not your final .avi doesn't it?
