from Q63
XX jan. 2002 version 1.0.6 build 1 (UNDER DEVELOPMENT)
- Enhancement: Due to the fact that Doom9 twisted my arm, and due to DSPguru (a math. genious and must be given full credit for this), I have killed, Azid, tooLame, WLA and SSRC. I am now only using BeSweet for the whole audioprocess. The great thing about this is that no intermediat files are created between the AC3 and MP2 conversion. So a BIG HUGE WET kiss from me to DSPguru :)

Anyway....seriously this is great news...this is what you were talking about when saying DVD2SVCD bundle will get significantly smaller and also about using much less diskspace.
DVD2SVCD_1.0.4_Setup-Build_2.exe 6,826KB
DVD2SVCD_1.0.5_Setup-Build_1.exe 5,556KB
DVD2SVCD_1.0.5_Setup-Build_4.exe 4,676KB
DVD2SVCD_1.0.6_Setup-Build_1.exe ???4,361KB???

yes it doesn't need to create a .wav file anymore...that's like a 1GB (or 2GB if one downsampled before) of less disk space needed. Sweet..no wonder it's called BeSweet. (http://dspguru.tripod.com/)

Bummer now I don't have an excuse to buy that new 60gb Hard Drive.

Man does DVD2SVCD ever take a breath? I find it hard enough finding time to watch the movies I convert and I am out of work. How in the world does DVD2SVCD find the time to to keep working on this without collapsing from exhaustion?

the entity of dvd2svcd only exists on the plane of space, not time.

he is a very magical man...

Besweet is about 30% fastter than azid+ssrc+toolame doing ac3->mp2 with downsampling also.:D
