View Full Version : MPClassic Woe With Matroska + AC3 :(

Has anyone noticed any problems with MPClassic + AC3 when The Matroska box is Ticked in Internal Filters such as a soft stop near the end of a video (Like a bad buffer issue causing the video to jerk)? I have it ticked so that I'd be able to tell what the bitrate usage is for each video/audio frame, but without it ticked, I'm not able to tell. Any suggestions?

Uncheck that box and let Haali's splitter do the job...

Yea, but If I do that, I get improper bitrate info for either the video or audio streams. It's showing the avg. bitrate for video to be around 233kbps, and for audio around 22kbps. That's obviously fallacy.

Ok, seems I need to make myself more clear, so I decided to take a screenshot of what i'm talking about

In Mpclassic, i've have "statistics" checked so that i'd be able to get more info about my videos, such as what I have shown in the pic. There's no way that my audio's 24 KB/s, when it's a constant 192kbps ac-3 audio, and the bitrate for the video being that low (144/179KB/s)? That's just preposterous. :rolleyes:
That's what I get when I choose to use an external filter for matroska besides MPClassic's Internal filter, but If I use the Internal filter, I get a lag delay near the end of any clip with dolby audio. I'm using MPClassic 6.4.9.0 if that's of any relevance.

are you sure you are using haali's media splitter? I myself use it and experience no problems with it.

and how is the quality of the video? is it worse when used with a splitter in MPC or is it just as good as when played in a software like VLC?(make sure you have post processing disabled in both fdshow and vlc to get accurate matches).

192kbps = 192000 bits per second = 24000 bytes/sec = ~24KB/s.
Similarly 144KB/s = ~1mbps.

oic, so it is displaying properly :o
But is there a way I could have haali displaying that stats in kbps? :)
