CCE SP2 will not work with the freeware version, but will work with the Professional Edition. All others (Basic and SP) will work with both.

Streams produced by SP 2.70.02.12 and SP2 1.00.00.10-18 are identical

I've been using CCE SP2 since it was available to use in DVD-RB Pro with no problems at all
I also use AviSynth 2.5.7 again with no problems, and some filters and functions NEED v2.5.7 or you will get loads of missing function errors and not have a clue why, until you install v2.5.7. I found out the hard way with a filter I was trying out
