View Full Version : un-burnable files..?

I don't mean to be paranoid, but I think there is something going on with the newer versions of Nero (5.5.6x)...

I'm talking about burning DataCDs-to save files and clear my hard drive. The radeon drivers froze the burn process several times, as did a boatload of .mp3s-I haven't singled out the culprit, but it was found via morpheus (so God knows what was in it). The funny thing is, everything but the .mp3s had been burned to dataCD with no problems, using an earlier version of Nero...

I have never understood the Joliet stuff, but I do know that I am able to use Nero successfully. With the latest version (x.624-I think)I can burn both audio CDs using .wav files as source (no encoding-I never tried) and standard-compliant SVCDs (I've made a bunch of these, all successfully, all play fine). Furthermore, getting rid of the .mp3s and some commercial applications and drivers (or zipping them) gives me no problems with the DataCD burning...

Am I doing something wrong? Or is there something to this..?
