hi there,

i hope this hasn't been discussed here multiple times, haven't been on the forum in quite a while.

i've been using dvd-rb for a long time now and the progress this app has made is just impressive, thanks for this great program, jdobbs!

one thing that has bugged me for a while though is just a minor thing (i hope). when i create a new dvdrb-project, i like having it in a subfolder named after the disc i'm just processing so i know which files belong to which disc. the procedure now is, i create subfolders with the name of the disc in my work- and output-folders and then i have to change those paths in dvdrb which is a little annoying.

my suggestion is an option somewhere that would make dvdrb create subfolders named like the disc-label in my configured work-/output-folders so that i don't need to change these on every disc.

thanks...

cu

My ideal would be for it to be like in DVD Decrypter (R.I.P.) where is gives you the ability to set the default destination to "semiautomatic" where you pick a drive/directory and then it does as you mentioned creating the subdirectory from the disc name. The other options in Decrypter would probably be useful to others as well, but this is what I always do manually (though I usually only use one working directory for all discs in batch mode to save space).

my suggestion is an option somewhere that would make dvdrb create subfolders named like the disc-label in my configured work-/output-folders so that i don't need to change these on every disc.I have found myself renaming the Work (D2VAVS) and Output (DVDFILES) directories upon completion of the re-build, so as not to get in the way of a subsequent RB.

DVD-RB could use the SOURCE information to do this??? It's a simple matter of software!!!!?!!! ;)

I'm sure it's nontrivial to do, particularly in light of re-starting and Batch-ing, or jdobbs would have done it by now...
