VirtualDub - why not "time remaining"?

There's a little thing that's bugged me about VirtualDub for a while. On the status window, it shows "Time elapsed" and "Total time (estimated)", but, to me at least, neither of these pieces of information is useful, or at least not anywhere near as useful as knowing how much is left (estimated ;) ).

Okay, it's not hard to do in my head most of the time, and I don't expect anyone to make it a high priority, but it feels like one of those "obvious common sense" things.

You're correct, of course, but I guess the author is of the opinion that providing the visual progress bar together with the two timers is sufficient...
