.mkv h.264 on a mac,any player compatible

just wondering which players are compatible for mac.i know vlc and mplayer are,but vlc doesnt seem to play smooth and same with mplayer

You may wish to try one of the vlc nightly builds or compile mplayer if u can. Otherwise the perian quicktime component has mkv support, http://www.perian.org/
