This is a very newbee-ish question so i'm posting it here.
If I have a NTSC DVD source, which is anamorphic 16:19, the source is 720x480 with a SAR of 32:37. My question is:
Should I encode it at 720x480 with a 32:37 SAR, or should I encode it at 852x480 with square pixels, or 720x405 with square pixels? Which would give me the best quality with with the same bitrate?
Thanks for the awesome help at doom9 in advance!
edit:
The two resolutions would be cropped to be mod16.
On second thought, the encoder doesn't really matter.
Also, sorry if this was already posted before.
