View Full Version : Blu-Ray, and text-based chapters?

This is a quick newbie question... I think I'm pretty clear now on Blu-Ray structure and ripping/backip of them into different formats... done all 3 variations of video streams, different audio streams, and I'm aware of where the subtitle streams are even though I haven't tackled that yet ("Graphics Presentation Stream")... one thing still eludes me.

Chapters.

Using EVODemux, getting chapter info from the HD-DVD to my MKV is as simple as a click... as yet I can't find a means of getting chapter info from Blu-Ray in text (or xml) format to use in MKV containers.

I may not use this feature heavily, but it would be nice to know. Thanks in advance if someone can point the way... :thanks:

((BUMP))

Hoping someone may have an answer to this one, and since it's been a while, i figured I might as well give it a bump.

I still haven't figured this one out myself, this is the last bit of info I seem to be lacking... thanks!

I think the chapter info is in the playlist file. BDedit can read it, but this early version cannot export the chapter data.

Ah, ok, thanks...

Like I mentioned, it's not mission-critical (the scrollbar can do the same thing for me that chapters can) I just wanted to do my backups the "right" right way if I could. Thanks for the update. :thanks:
