Hi,
First of all, what a GREAT site!
Not sure if I should be posting this in the Newbies section or the Mac section. But I'm a Newbie, so here goes.
I have a MacBook OS10.4.9
I use Toast 7 and I have ffmpegX.
My problem is stitching subtitle files to avi files. I've made several attempts with differing results:
1. movie plays with subs on computer but not on DVD player.
or
2. The images in the converted movie are distorted and elongated.
I burn my avi files onto Toast 7 with no problems. It's when I have a separate subtitle (srt) that I cannot cope! Would like to do the whole thing on Toast if this is possible but I haven't found a way after HOURS of trying!
Have searched the forums on ffmpegX and visited their site and TRIED to follow instructions for subtitles but I have no success.
I need a really simple explanation on how I can get out of this mess PLEASE.
Can anyone help or direct me to a simple (I'm sure there must be) solution?
