DVD to QT w/PC?

I use Nero Recode and I am a hardcore supporter, however I wanted to do a test run with QT and its H.264 encodes to see a comparrison. I have QT 7 Pro for PC. Is there any simple way to convert DVD .vob files to a QT MP4?

Don't bother.

Apple's MPEG-4 AVC encoder isn't worth writing home about. Neither is their MPEG-4 SP codec for that matter.

If you have the MPEG-2 component for QuickTime, you should be able to rip a VOB, demux the video to M2V, open that in QuickTime, and export to QuickTime H.264. Yuck.
