Hi, I have a 600mhz processer with 512 megs of ram. When CCE starts up, it does too things really, and then it took about 5 hours to do a transencoding of about 140000 frames. Then it started another tranencoding and told me it would take 22 hours to transencode about 500000. Do I have quality set to high or it this just a problem with a slow processor.

Video Encoding Mode:Multipass VBR:4
Anti Noise Filter:X:2
Linear Quantizer Scale:X
Upper Field First:X
Zigzag Scanning Order:X
Progressive Frames:X
Image Quality PRiority:17

These are the settings

This speed is ok for your processor. To do a fastter encoding, try CBR with TemporalSmoother on.

So, If I let it go for like 22 hours, will it try to do it again, or is that the last time?

there are basicly 3 options. Choose one:

1) encoding with this same processor using 3 (maybe 4) pass VBR - very slow. Not reccomended.

2) encoding with this same processor with TS on and using CBR - satisfactory. Reccomended.

3) encoding with a 3x fastter processor, using 3 pass VBR - very good. Do it right now.
