Hi,
I am building a small software to read DVD ifo files. I wish to get your expert guidance as to whether all DVD will contain the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folder?

If the above two folders do exist in all DVDs, then it will be easier to detect the folder if the user choose a specific DVD folder and parse the ifo files.

Thank you for your kind assistance.

Peter

All DVDs with video content in mpeg2 format with the intent of watching on a standalone (and also computer) will indeed have VIDEO_TS folders.

@aithai

Hi!

The .IFO files will always be in the "VIDEO_TS" folder (And, although an empty "AUDIO_TS" folder is part of the DVD standard, there are MANY DVDs that don't contain an "AUDIO_TS" folder)...

Personally, I've never seen a retail DVD that doesn't contain an AUDIO_TS folder.

@kumi

I own many without "AUDIO_TS" folders...
