Hey everyone, I was wondering if there was another program out there for cutting SVCD/VCD's?? Cuz I have previously been doing DivX but now that I've figured out SVCD/VCD I've boughten a dvd player and can play them on it but I have a problem. TMPG cutting is horrible it's not precise what so ever. so I was wondering if there was a program that would allow me to cut to an exact point like Nandub does. Flawless everytime but with TMPG I always get different time's and cutting points and sometimes it doesn't cut where i want it to cut, either too short or too far and then I have a gap at the end of one moive and at the beginning of the next. HOpe someone can help.

Thanx.

ive never had trouble with TMPG cutting. if there should be a gap just keep backing up and get a little overlap instead, although its usually accurate to less than 1 second.

I agree TMPGEnc is a pain. Best to use Smartripper and "Rip to Chapter" i.e 1 VOB/Chapter. Then do 2 DVD2AVI projects etc. Seems to be the cleanest method of cutting the film I know.

TMPEG uses time as it cutting method, not as good as frames but still can work if you know a trick or two.

I select the first half find where I want to split it, generally a frame change. Hit the end marker. TMPEG will round to the nearest I or P frame. when I want to do the second half I cut the end time from the previous cut and past it into the start time then set the end. No gap!!!

Yes we are talking VCD, if you want SVCD and MB is a problem buy a bigger HDD. Also TMPEG only gives you 30 days for SVCD encoding.
