Hello to everybody
I have a rather strange situation and i cannot find a clue why this is happening.
There seems to be a strange problem when i use the hardware acceleration of PowerDVD 7.3....there is just no video at all ..the audio plays fine bu everything else is black...completely black.
The strange things happened some time ago when i first tried to play an new HD clip (1920 x 1080).
Until that time everything was playing just fine .
Funny things started when i first tried a Divx clip... i just couldn't play it until i installed latest codecs and trust me it wasn't encoded with latest encoder.
Then i went to play the HD Clips...stuter we are talking just a few frames and then stop ...
I tried first WMP ...stutter,powerdvd at first stutter and then complete black.
No it is all black in powerdvd.
I installed latest haali splitter and things are back to normal for WMP but no for Powerdvd.
Any clues
Probably because u will ask me i have K-lite Full pack 3.1 (before i had a couple versions older... i think 2.95 or something like that),divx codec 6.6,WMP 11,MPC,Nero,Nvidia Purevideo and just installed nvidia driver 94.24
I would appreciate any help because i really like the sound quality of PowerDVD and i hate to loose it.
Oh by the way i have an E6600 with an MSI 7600GT
Thanks in advance

K-lite Full pack 3.1 does overwrite filters PowerDVd installs. You are causing issues yourself.

Ok my advise allways will be to use PowerDVD and WinDVD only for what they were coded and that is initialy DVD,HD-DVD and Blu-Ray and to use another solution for File Playback if you need accelleration by GPU my advise is a Directshow based Player like MPC,Mpc-Homecinema, Kmplayer or Zoomplayer if energy lose is not important for you (you have a fast dualcore CPU) then my advise would be a non Directshow dependent Player like Mplayer or Videolanclient.
You can still use PowerDVDs Audiodecoder by forceing it in the Directshow Players i listed and try to avoid as KoD says the "Directshow Hell" by installing those codecpacks at any price :P

Try another set of video drivers. Maybe it's video driver related.
