Hello.
I have an uncompressed mov (10bit 4:2:2 1920x1080 25fps).

When I play it on Apple (OsX) in QuickTime it is OK, but if I want to play it on PC (winXP) there is only white picture shown. The resolution is correct-HDTV and also the duration.
I have QuickTime Pro installed on PC.

I know it's quite big file and the disks aren't able to read it in real time. It doesn't even matter to play it in real time.

The most important thing is that I want to encode the movie to H.264 transport stream (mpeg2 container).
I did that with Procoder 3, MainConcept H.264 Encoder v2.1.0
and the result from both of them is white picture.

What could be the problem? Is there some codec missing for mov? Does anyone know for some tool to analyze video?
I was searching on doom9.org but didn't find it.

Thanks,
repi

How did you make the MOV file or where did you get it?

I got it on USB disk from a video studio. I don't know exactly how did they make it, but I think it was done in FinalCut Pro.
It plays good in QuickTime player or FCPro on Apple.

Post here the "Movie Information" from the QuickTimePro dropdown menu...The most important thing is that I want to encode the movie to H.264 transport stream (mpeg2 container).Have you instead tried doing the conversion under QuickTime on your Mac?

1) i doubt that quicktime supports h264 in ts
2) if quicktime on mac plays the source mov, but quicktime on win doesnt, its a qt bug
3) you can try to reencode the mov with ffmpeg to h.264 in ts (with x264)

1) Encoding on Apple
I also have purchased Episode Pro (for Mac) which can encode to h264 TS, but for some kind of reason it is not playable on SetTop Box:confused:
There is only first or first two frames shown on screen (STB).
Does anybody know what settings has to be used? Is there any trick?

2) QT Bug
Does it affect to the encoding tool? In my case Procoder and MainConcept?

3) ffmpeg
Is this for Windows or Mac?

@setarip_old: Did you mean Show movie info
I'm attaching this picture.

Thanks!

Hi, guys. Thanks for help but my problem is solved.
Just for information. The problem was because BlackMagic codec was missing.
