It must be me... but I'm totally stumped. Every time I create an SVCD (using either bbMPEG or TMPGEnc) and burn it to a CD the last 2 seconds of each track are cut off. I've burned with Nero, VCDEasy, TSCV, and Roxio's VideoPack 5 -- all the same. The videos play perfectly off the hard drive on the computer, but off the CD they cut off when played on the computer and in my Apex DVD player. I don't have the problem when I create VCD discs, only SVCD discs.
I found that when I enabled leadout pregap set at 300, the CDs played fine on the computer, but still cut off in the DVD player. TSCV doesn't have a switch for leadout pregap, so I had to manually edit the XML file to get this to work.
And one last aggravating frustration: when I make an SVCD with TSCV or VCDEasy and enable PBC (you can't turn it off in TSVC), my Apex constantly flashes "SELECT" on every track like it's a menu track. Absolutely f*cking frustrating. There has to be a way to fix this. It drives me absolutely insane.
I've gotten to the point where I just don't want to make SVCDs anymore. Until I get some relief I'm sticking with MPEG-1 XVCDs.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
