Okay, here is my issue, I have fully installed windows XP, updated fully, then installed all my codecs then AVISynth 2.5...when i try to run an AVS that uses MPEG2Source I get:
CAVIStreamSynth: System exception - Access Violation at 0x0, reading from 0x0
Here is the strange part, my old HDD that has windows XP still on it, the SAME AVS and VOB/d2v files work! It's just a simple avs mpeg2source("file.d2v") and that's it...
Same hardware as before...

Have you got a different version of DGIndex, etc, installed on the new install? New versions can't read the d2v files generated by old versions (or such is my experience).
I didn't get an access violation though.

Try Avisynth 2.5.6a
Also, do you have utorrent installed?

I forgot to mention, if I try avisource with a huffyuv encoded AVI I also get the same error message.
Try Avisynth 2.5.6a
Also, do you have utorrent installed?
Nothing is installed except for Windows XP, all the updates, and my codecs+AVISynth
Tried the last stable and the latest build.

3GB, it is functioning, and as I said in my first post, if I put my old HDD in with my old install, everything works fine...:(
EDIT: I will try to update my DGIndex version when I get home and I will post back if it's still not working.
EDIT2: It's working now, thanks for the help!
