I have a file server where I store all my DVDs (most converted to Xvid), and I use a Pinnacle Showcenter as my streaming media player. I wrote my own code in PHP for the server backend running Apache. Works great.
Now that I have a DVD-HD drive, I am starting to buy HD movies and store them on the server too using DumpHD.... but I can only play them back on the PC. I want to eventually convert them to Mpeg 4 (h.264 probably) since I only have 3 TB on the server.... but for the time being, that's not a fun process.
Doe anyone know of a streaming media player that supports 1080p resolution h.264 and VC-1 ?
I've heard the DSM-750 is supposed to support 1080p VC-1 and H.264, but it keeps getting pushed back.
